Cannot download the AnyConnect image after purchasing AnyConnect.

I have purchased Cisco AnyConnect and entered the license on the ASA.

I have tried to download the AnyConnect image but it says I don't have a active contract.

I spoke with a representative via chat and was told that I have to purchase a contract because the ASA is more than a year old.

I thought the AnyConnect that we paid for would also give us the license to download the AnyConnect image?

In order to download cisco software you need a service contract in place.

buying cisco anyconnect does not mean you can download the anyconnect software.

if you reach out your local cisco representative they would be help you to provide the software.

Can you share exactly what was on the purchase order (the line items) for AnyConnect?

Normally customers buy AnyConnect Plus (or Apex) which is a term based subscription that includes download entitlement. The entitlement does need to be associated with your account and I have seen some resellers neglect to do that.

If you had purchased the (rarely used) AnyConnect VPN Only license that is not a term-based subscription and does require a separate support contract.

Thank you for that information Marvin. We did purchase the Plus version so I have passed this information on to our team to take it up with the reseller.
