FMC Question

So we have an FMC 1000 which is currently managing x1 FTD I have been sent a replacment FD and cant add to the FMC as I keep getting the below error, I was considering de-registering FMC and then generating a new token on SSM and trying to re-register the FMC, any ideas please.??

Smart Licensing Authorization expired. Please synchroize the Firepower Management centre with the cisco Smart Software Manager)

but this is very confusing as on the FMC license page all green and last date authorized was today.

what version of FMC ?

Authorization Expired

The FMC failed to communicate with the Cisco License backend for more than 90 days.

I would try to remove the previous FTD instance from the smart account, de-register the FMC, and finally re-register it.
