FTD upgrade via CLI

I have two standalone FPR-4145 i want to upgrade FTD version, however i don't want to use the FMC but do it directly with CLI on the appliance.

Is it possible to upgrade FTD version in CLI and what is the procedure? i could not find any documentation regarding this.

You will probably also need to upgrade the FXOS firmware in addition to the FTD software.

While it is possible (as @Rob Ingram noted), it is generally not a good idea - especially if the device is FMC-managed. What is your reason for wanting to do so?
