    <description>&lt;P&gt;What version of cisco devices started allowing the use of the API? I have a few ASA5506 version 6.2.3.18-50 and when I try to login to the API, all I get is a 401 unauthorized error.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Do you get this authorisation error when you are making restapi requests?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Can you login to the &lt;SPAN class="searchMark primary"&gt;API&lt;/SPAN&gt; Explorer? Log into &lt;SPAN class="ph"&gt;FDM&lt;/SPAN&gt;, and then change the path on the URL to /#/&lt;SPAN class="searchMark primary"&gt;api&lt;/SPAN&gt;-explorer, for example, &lt;A href="https://ftd.example.com/#/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://ftd.example.com/#/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN class="searchMark primary"&gt;api&lt;/SPAN&gt;-explorer.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.cisco.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/97036"&gt;@Rob Ingram&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;I was able to look at the API explorer by doing that. I was then able to scroll to the bottom to see the base URL and what version the API was using. I thought it might be using version 5 but its actually using version 1. Either way I know have access to it. Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
