Thanks Balaji for your response. The issue seems to have been resolved on its own. I tried to recover, reload and reset without any success just checked the module this morning and its looking up and healthy which is great. I dont know what's resolved it but I will monitor for copule of days and feedback

Card Type: FirePOWER Services Software Module
Model: ASA5516
Hardware version: N/A
Serial Number: xxxx
Firmware version: N/A
Software version: 6.2.2-81
MAC Address Range: xx
App. name: ASA FirePOWER
App. Status: Up
App. Status Desc: Normal Operation
App. version: 6.2.2-81
Data Plane Status: Up
Console session: Ready
Status: Up
DC addr: xxx
Mgmt IP addr: xxx
Mgmt Network mask: 255.255.255.248
Mgmt Gateway: xxx
Mgmt web ports: 443
Mgmt TLS enabled: true

Just to answer your questions It was only the primary SFR which was in Init state the secondary is ok though. Both firewalls up for 141 days

Dear members, I just logged on to the firepower management center and noticed that its failing deployment for the below firewall and after taking deeper look I noticed the SFR is stuck in Init mode. I tried to reset, shutdown and reload with no success. What I haven't tried is rebooting the firewall and uninstalling the module which is service impacting and trying to avoid this unless its a last resort. Please advise if there is any quick way to resolve this without uninstalling the module from scratch. The mode on the secondary which is in standby mode is UP and Active though

ASA5516-XFW# show module sfr details
Getting details from the Service Module, please wait...
Unable to read details from module sfr

how long the ASA uptime, what ASA code running ?

if this is on secondary (even ASA is seconday you can try reboot whole ASA and check, still no luck)

Status: Init - try below thread see if that can fix your issue (Hope you have backups ?)
