Hi Community,

We have one cisco fpr3105, in which from fxos we are unable to connect to ASA mode. There are only 2 options available which are ftd & local-mgmt. Is there any firmware upgrade require or any different process?

Probably this device runs FTD and not ASA? If you need ASA, you need to reimage the device.

How can we do that? Any specific process or similar to ASA firmware upgradation?

Official guide is here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/quick_start/reimage/asa-ftd-reimage.html

To be honest, I didn't read it so unsure how helpful it is.

"connect asa" only works of the device is running the ASA image. Since you are only offered the "connect ftd" option, then your device is running FTD.

What are you trying to do from the cli that you want to connect this way? Whether the device runs ASA or FTD image, those images would be configured with their own unique management address (distinct from the chassis management) that you would use for direct connection.

Yes, This URL is helpful & able to re-image from FTD to ASA. Thanks.
