I am having this issue and it is driving me nuts. On the first go'round, all interfaces validated fine. The VPN had issues with missing items and had to start over, never got past the VPN. My second trip through the Management interface would not validate, so I changed the name to M1/1. Everything went good until the push which failed because the change of name to M1/1 failed due to it being the Chassis name. After getting stuck again with the interface name, I logged into CLI and found that the interfaces were configured with nameif even though the push failed. I looked around but there is no way to remove nameif via the CLI, nor any method to remove it via FMC. I wound up deleting the instance and recreating it to start over with. What a PITA it is. At least there should be a method to revert changes made if the push fails.

Good afternoon,

Im currently trying to migrate a asa 5525 with a couple of vpns, subinterfaces, ACLs and nats using FTM to a FTD version 7.2 running on VMware.

everything is being migrated as expected but im getting an error right before I "Validate" the configuration.

The error doesn´t tell me which "logical name" is referring to, or which configuration section i should focus on.

Any pointers?

Thanks

It is difficult to tell from just that error message, but my first guess would be an interface name that is giving the error.
