From a Security standpoint you could decrypt the traffic and inspect it with IPS. What I would prefer is to put a device like a <A href="https://kemptechnologies.com/de/kemp-load-balancers" target="_self">KEMP Loadmaster</A> into a DMZ and proxy the traffic from there to the Exchange server.
