Hi

The Cisco Doc for the Policy import/export says the below, Does this mean just the FMCs should be on the same version and the FTD can be on a different version ??

(The importing and exporting appliances must be running the same version of the Firepower System)

Hello!

Yes, that's correct! The statement means Prepaid Gift Balance that only the Firepower Management Centers (FMCs) need to be on the same version for policy import/export. The Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) devices can be on a different version.

best practice should be same version all time, until any new version syntax changed(that will give an error when you importing).

high version should have lower compatibility.
