I have setup up a number of FTDS that are managed by FMC in CML labs. I have setup the in-built desktop in CML that is hanging off a FTD. I am able to get the internet via FTD-->Router (NAT)-->External Connector and I am able to get internet access from the virtual Desktop.

I want to test some URL filtering, the FTD has the essential license with URL filtering. However, when testing the interactive block, it is not working. I added the default Social Networking category in the URL filtering, however, I am still able to get to social media and no interactive block working.

Is the URL filtering a feature of the FMCv built into CML? I cannot see any issue with my ACP and routing is working.

Now are traffic http or https ?

If it https then ftd need to ssl decrypt traffic before it can filter url' url is exchange with GET messages of http/s

Check that

The issue could be related to DNS on the FMC or a download failure. Please go through this link and see if it helps:
