The Cisco Secure Firewall 3120 is a solid mid-to-high enterprise choice, especially for the transition from the 2100 series. Here are key benefits:

Supports Superior Throughput: The 3120 handles ~30 Gbps of firewall throughput and maintains high performance even with Snort 3.0 and deep packet inspection (DPI) enabled.

Supports Hardware Crypto: It is specifically designed for high SSL/TLS decryption loads, which is a massive bottleneck on older 2100 or 5500-X series devices.

Supports Clustering: The High Availability (HA) and clustering capabilities are very mature on this series, offering seamless failover.

For more details go through the official data sheet: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/firewalls/secure-firewall-3100-series-ds.html

Actually it was release in April 2022: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/security/secure-firewall-3100-series/series.html

They are quite stable and a good value for customers requiring the throughput they offer. For lower throughput, consider the 1200 series. For higher throughput, the 4200 series is available.
