Cisco firepower 2130p high usage cpu 100% & eventhandler terminated

Hello cisco community members,

I have an issue with 2 Cisco FP2130 firewalls. One is active and the other is standby, as expected. The problem is that the standby unit frequently shows 100% CPU usage, which would normally be expected on the active unit instead. Can you help identify what might be causing this? Would it help if I provided firmware versions or any other information?

the firmware is 7.2.10.2

also we have noticed that there is a process webvpn timer

on standby device. is it logical ?

Could the unexpected termination of the EventHandler process be the cause of the high CPU usage on the standby unit?

Furthermore , we see that there is a notification of an out date policy on the Standby device. I suspect that the notification appears when we get the notifications on the photo at the end of the message.

However there is no failover history as we can see.

Thank you for your time and I will be waiting for your feedback so that we can hopefully find a solution that explains this notification.

I would like to thank you for your answer, Mark Elsen.

We had already found the related post regarding bug 26815. However, the version running on our FP2130 is 9.18(4.205), and according to the bug tracking tool, this version does not appear in either the affected versions list or the fixed versions list.

Based on that information, we assumed that this bug does not apply to our current version.

So, could there be another explanation for this issue?
