PIX 506E

I have PIX-506E security device that separate our HQ from branches, i want to upgrade main link to 120Mbps and i think this PIX will not be able to handle this traffic (it will be like a bottle neck).

so i have two options; either remove it or upgrade it to ASA.

could you please suggest.

This really depends on your company's security policy with relation to the branch offices. If your security policy states that you need to be able to filter traffic coming from or going to the branch offices, then you will need to replace it with an ASA.
