topic Thanks Marius! in Network Security

Thanks Marius!

Would I need to create a ACL in order to ping from the inside to the outside or should the security level of 100 on the inside interface allow all to the lower outside interface of 0?

To NAT or NOT

Please see attached for diagram of what I need to do. This is ALL internal. The Firewall is a ASA 5525-X and connect to a private switch on the outside. I need for users to connect through this firewall to the lab. Do I need NAT for this?

As long as these are all

As long as these are all private IPs and there are no overlaping IPs, then no NAT is needed.

So long as an interface does

So long as an interface does not have an ACL configured on it, the security levels will be used. once the ACL is applied then just the ACL is considered. So if the inside has a security level of 100 and outsdie 0 you should be good.
