&lt;P&gt;Please, I would like to know if someone has the information about the Lifetime for the FWSM's IOS software. FWSM on this case running inside 6500 Switch:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3.2(28)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4.1(15)&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;It indicates that the last date to extend or renew a service contract for the software was December 2014. With software service support ending in September 2015.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Those images were last updated in October 2013 and no new releases - including patches and bug fixes - will be developed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;There have been no new images for the FWSM in almost 4 years. There will be no new images or updates for that platform.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You should plan on a hardware replacement if you have a continuing need or changing requirements (need more throughput, more features etc.).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
