Be aware the users need administrator rights when installing the Anyconnect client, so this may fail if you are relying on the ASA to push out the newer client and they don't have enough rights. It might be more advisable to control the deployment of the Anyconnect client by deploying via AD GPO, SCCM or some other system.

HTH

Latest stable version of Anyconnect

Hi all,

We are currently running Anyconnect 4.3.03086 and considering an upgrade for the same on our ASAs

which are currently running version 9.8(2). So if someone could suggest which is the latest stable version of Anyconnect, it would be of great help.

Regards,

Hi,

You've got the option of the latest versions 4.5.05030 or 4.6.01103. However 4.6 release notes here indicates any issues discovered in previous versions would only be fixed in 4.6. I'd test 4.6 in your environment, see if that works satisfactorially for you.

HTH

Hi,

Thanks for a quick response. I would also like to know once we upgrade, do the Anyconnect users also need to upgrade or will they be able to work with the older version? If they need to upgrade, can you please provide some link which mentions all the steps?

Older versions of anyconnect should continue to work, but they will be upgraded at next logon automatically by default.
The anyconnect image on the asa is not actually used by the asa it's just there to be pushed to the anyconnect clients.
To change the default behavior you can disable auto update in the xml anyconnect client profile.
