Software support on sourcefire defence centre ?

Customer bought Sourefire before Cisco acquired it. They have a 7030 appliance, and they have a virtual defense center. Cisco is telling thet only have a hardware warranty on the appliance and no warranty for software updates for the defense center? How do we check this?

Firesight V6 no longer even

Firesight V6 no longer even requires a licence. As long as you have any Cisco maintenance contract you can just download and deploy it.

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286259687&softwareid=286271056&release=5.4.1.7&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

Hello Kunal,

Hello Kunal,

What do you mean by warranty of software updates here ? If you have an accounts team who deals that account of yours with Cisco, just make sure that all the documents and old Sourcefire accounts have been migrated to Cisco. As of now everything is handled by Cisco itself. So you should entitle all your devices to the Cisco account under your cisco customer id with the serial number of your devices that you have . If you have a valid contract and cisco customer id you can access and download all the cisco softwares available under Cisco website downloads section.

software.cisco.com/portal/pub/download/portal/select.html?&mdfid=286259687&softwareid=286271056

If you have any licensing queries or entitlement queries regards with your devices , please contact Cisco Global Licensing Center and Entitlement team under below number.

Entitlement : +1 408-902-6769

Licensing : +1 919-574-1701

Kindly rate if this answer helps you.

Regards

jetsy
