I have DC installed in my VM. The DC and the SFR module are both in version 5.4. During the purchase, <GS id="2ca962f7-2ec9-45dd-87cd-84bcb021dd7d" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="07a0265d-c26a-4c4c-975e-1815c8553bc4" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">i</GS> was told that DC is used to monitor the ASA. We have <GS id="3ceb26ba-7dc9-419c-acc7-1d90bcb42375" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="2c87a677-6e1c-4f22-ba81-27afe24d1236" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">puchased</GS> the license for 2 <GS id="bff2bb7a-406b-461e-85f9-f1921d406020" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="2c87a677-6e1c-4f22-ba81-27afe24d1236" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">device</GS> which means <GS id="84fc2452-313c-4975-896b-f9b0ae567c27" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="2c87a677-6e1c-4f22-ba81-27afe24d1236" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">i</GS> can monitor <GS id="0359374d-1082-45c6-ab27-0a44d5cc417b" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="2c87a677-6e1c-4f22-ba81-27afe24d1236" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">upto</GS> 2 ASA from my DC.
Hello Diwakar,

Hello Diwakar,

You understanding about the purpose of using Firesight is not correct. Firesight Management Center is only used to monitor the managed devices under it such as the Firepower devices or Firepower software modules integrated with the ASA firewall. You cannot monitor or manage your ASA firewall using the DC (Firesight Management ). To manage the ASA , you have to use the ASDM .

Since you have an ASA ,using Firepower software module , you can inspect the selected traffic in your environment. Create an Access list and you have to specify the traffic that you need to redirect through the Firepower module.

Select and Rate if this answer helps you.

Regards
