Hi Aditya,

I used the above method as the document said but i couldn't block the url. I restarted the ASA but again it didn't work. What could be the reason. Can the <GS id="a4518725-b1cb-409d-ad5a-d79be291190a" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="356fcea6-8c45-4879-98f6-a459aa811762" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">url</GS> filtering be done using <GS id="456eaf96-616e-4437-b9a7-dab70a2454a5" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="356fcea6-8c45-4879-98f6-a459aa811762" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">SFR module</GS> on the ASA? Do we need <GS id="d47c4044-cc8f-45e3-8940-4bebe54524a6" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="8bf385c1-1bcc-4202-9097-917aaf53f0b5" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">license</GS> for this?

Yes, you can use the

Yes, you can use the Sourcefire module for this also. Doing that will allow a much higher level of granularity to your filtering.

For example, you can filter by certain users and allow certain sites just for certain users. We currently use it and it is a much better solution than the CSC was. That was not a good solution by Cisco.

Of course with this type of module, there is a cost for the licensing. It is not a per user or anything, just a cost for the module.

Also, if you have VMWare, the management appliance comes in a OVA form.
