PPPoE connection

Hi ALL,

I would like to setup a PPPoE connection in Cisco ASA 5506 X but failed.

Hi Bro

Please kindly do ensure your TM Modem is set to bridge mode. You can do so by using a very thin pin/needle, and poke into the little hole, usually located at the rear of the TM Modem.

Please do ensure your configuration is similar to https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/13098796/pppoe-connection. The Vlan 500 is correct, used by TM.

Lastly, please do add the following lines in your configuration, if it’s not done already

vpdn group abcd ppp authentication chap pap

Note: PPPoE is only supported in single, routed mode, without failover.

I connect it directly to modem as the DLink router DIR-850L has no bridge mode.

Any other alternative way?

Can you take a photo of your modem. I'm very sure there's a pin/reset button to set the modem into bridge mode
