Unable to launch ASDM

Help guys. Unable to launch ASDM for cisco asa 5510. It says unable to contact device.

There should instead be two lines like this:

boot system disk0:/asa845-k8.bin
asdm image disk0:/asdm-722.bin

Also, the following two lines mean you need to be coming from one of those networks into one of those ASA interfaces to be allowed to use ASDM:

http 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 management
http 10.168.0.0 255.255.0.0 inside

Hi Vince,

Also take the output of the "show run all ssl" and "show activation-key" output. You must have the "VPN-3DES-AES " license so that SSL handshake will be successful.

Have you tried to connect the device https, for example https://<ip address>. Are you getting any page?
