ASA 5506-X Virtual Interface Error on ASDM

Hi,

Not sure if this is a bug with ASDM, but when I try to add a virtual interface through ASDM I receive the following error when clicking 'Apply'...

"With the current license device will only supports 2 fully functional interfaces. Third interface can be added, but the traffic from this interface to another interface need to be blocked. Please make appropriate selection in the advanced tab"

(By the way, the above message has been translated word for word, and yes, the use of English is terrible!!)

However, if use good old CLI, it works fine:

FW1(config)# int redundant 1.101
FW1(config-subif)# vlan 101
FW1(config-subif)# security-level 100
FW1(config-subif)# ip address 10.100.1.65 255.255.255.224
FW1(config-subif)# nameif Management
FW1(config-subif)# no shut

The ASA is running the Security Plus license, so I should have unlimited interfaces? I only have a few VLANs. Result of 'Show Ver' below...

I presume this is just another issue with ASDM?

Hi Tony,

The fix should be integrated in next release of ASDM as we can see that the bug is already fixed.

You can save the bug so that you can get automatic updates regarding fixed version.

i have the SAME issue with ASDM 7.5 on asa 5506x . the cli is fine. the gUI blocks me. t see the screen capture. i agree that the english is not proper on the error message

i see that on 15 oct asdm 7.5(1) 90

i tried and it does NOT fix the issue

aslo . if i go back to asdm 7.4(3) will the issue be fixed?

will it still support firepower?

please advise
