Cisco Firewall ASA 5506-X with Firepower Bundle.

We have purchased Cisco ASA 5506-x firewall with Firepower bundle device
recently and configured it successfully.

But we are unable to configure Access Control List and IPS in fire power
configuration, it is asking us for license key. Which we understood that
shall be pre installed. As we did not found any CD and license key in the
box packaging, for your reference when we check unboxing video on
youtube of Cisco ASA 5506-x they show the big envelope which has
license key and CD. Which we did not receive in a box. Kindly advise that
envelope has the firepower license? Or we have to purchase the license for
firepower full mode.

The Control-License should be

The Control-License should be delivered with the ASA (in that beautiful envelope). If you don't have this Envelope, ask your reseller for it.

For the rest, you need to order the TAMC-license. This license is typically delivered electronically.

When you get (or find) the license: Included is PAK and/or a link to the Cisco licensing-portal. In that portal you provide a key (looks like a MAC-address) that you find in ASDM under "Add new License".

After that, Cisco will send you the key via e-mail that you have to paste into the FP-management in ASDM.

You can buy the license through your preferred reseller. He will tell you the price which depends on the length of the subscription (1/3/5 years).

Yes, it's a subscription for IPS-rules, access to website categories, reputation data and so on. Same as with AV-software where you pay every X years.
