Hi

I have an ASA version 8.0 which am going to upgrade to V 8.4. I believe the NAT statements are different, can someone assist with what the NAT conversion code for the below ver8 NATs to 8.4 will be:

global (MS-CLOUD) 20 10.10.10.1-10.10.10.63 netmask 255.255.255.192
global (MS-CLOUD) 25 10.20.20.1-10.20.20.15 netmask 255.255.255.240

nat (WAN) 20 access-list new_WAN-cloud_nat_out
nat (WAN) 25 access-list WAN-cloud_nat_out

The ACL's just define the subnets to NAT.

Also the above nat statements are DYNAMIC overload / PAT right?

Hi,

There is a change in the way NAT is configured on ASA 8.3 and above. The conversion of NAT rules occur automatically as part of the upgrade.

You can refer following link for more info: https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/48646/asa-83-upgrade-what-you-need-know

And yes above NAT statements are dynamic PAT statements.

Hope it helps,

R.Seth
