topic 80/443 Redirect in Network Security

I am working to convert a legacy Netscreen config to Cisco's ASA format. I realize that it takes just one command to redirect port 80 to 443 on the Netscreen device. Here is where I need assistance: I do not NAT behind my firewall and still have a need to redirect, as was previously being done on the legacy Netscreen. I will appreciate it a lot if someone could assist me in configuring such a redirect where there is no need to NAT the addresses behind the firewall.

Regards

Hi,

I am not aware of the implementation in netscreen device, but from what you have describe it looks like you achieve redirection either by NAT or by using PBR.

>>PBR is supported on ASA 9.4.1 and above, you can try PBR to redirect the traffic.

>> If the device to which you are trying to redirect traffic supports WCCP then you can use WCCP redirection feature on ASA.

Hope it helps!!!!
