topic Firewall ASA ISP Backup Route, ISP Dual ISP in Network Security

I had dual isp configuration setup that was working fine in 9.3.1. Once the primary ISP line goes down, the second one would take over and once the Primary ISP line came back the Primary default route would be in place and everything worked fine, UNTIL upgrade to 9.3.2 prior to this the ASA Version on my 5512x was 9.3.1 and under this version the backup ISP works fine. However in 9.3.2 the backup ISP configuration does not work. And all the traffic to Main Primary ISP stops working.

Please let me know if anything changed from 9.3.2 onwords, I also updated to latest 9.4.1 but i have the same issue. The backup ISp works fine only under 9.3.1. for the 9.4.1 or 9.3.2 as soon as I turn on the Tracking/monitoring Primary ISP, the main isp Fails and never falls back.

Hi,

I don't think there is any functionality change with the ASA code for this SLA monitor.

I think this has to be some configuration issue or issue with the reachabilty because of which you are failing to the secondary ISP as soon as the tracking is enabled.

Would you be able to post these outputs:-

show run sla monitor

show run timeout.

show run route

Thanks and Regards,

Vibhor Amrodia
