Hi fawad,

Technically, that depends on the type of license you bought. I believe there's a bundled license that has already Web Security Essentials together with the CX functionality.

This Web Security Essentials comes with URL filtering, SIO, BotNet Filtering etc.

Thanks

Hi,

I am setting up ASA 5555-X for internet edge on ASA code 9.3. What are the security features that can be enabled, I am interested in enabling features related to DDOS protection, SYN Flooding Protection, TCP intercept etc. Is there an ASA Threat Protection Feature?

thanks !!

You have to look into Threath

You have to look into Threath detection, this is an option in the firewall that you can you use.

There is also a licensed feature called botnet. This is providing protection against known bot networks.

Please look into cisco documentation site on the two subjects.

At last there is the new sourcefire firepower application that you can install on SSD. However you're 55-X needs to be ready for this. Otherwise you need to upgrade for the application and also for the particular license you need.
