anyconnect error--cannot confirm it is connected to secure gateway

I have a user who is able to connect to the ssl vpn via anyconnect client on a windows machine with no issues, but cannot on a MAC. He is getting this error: "AnyConnect cannot confirm it is connected to your secure gateway. The local network may not be trustworthy. Please try another network.". Everything I have read shows how to fix the issue on a linux machine, but not a mac. Anyone have any idea on how to address this on a MAC? This was working previously for him, not sure how this could have stopped working.

Just got the same problem on

Just got the same problem on Mac.

What I did was:

Open Safari browser, then access the https://vpn.company.com, then saw the certificate warnings. There is a check box about "trust this certificate", check it. OK.

Come back to AnyConnect, it can connect again. This must be a changes in Apple side.

Hope this help
