topic Security Risk in Network Security

My supplier has configured a router to NAT connections using the interface IP of the router connected to the ISP. As this is just a router not running in Firewall mode he has created a statement on the access list applied to this interface to allow any connections into the Nat or Pat, address.

I think this is ludicrous but I am assured that there is no security risk.!!

Can anyone confirm.

Thanks

So it's NAT'ing your internal

So it's NAT'ing your internal, private IP addresses, to the external IP address of the router...sounds pretty logical to me.
