When i try to access asa IPS,iam thrown with an error messg:

"sensor loading error"

1.Try to download latest Cisco IME https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282052550&softwareid=282829584&release=7.2.7&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest&i=rm

2.Try to reload the IPS,

3.Try to upload the latest update manually.

Do i need a valid service contract to download the latest IME or any other updates for IPS.

Also in order to update the sensors what exactly i need to do.

How are you trying to access the IPS ?

Did you try to console it from the ASA device itself.

Can you share the output of "show module ips det"

iam now able to access the asa ips from the management port.

Also i am able to access the asdm-idm.

However when i check the status of licence,its showing no licence.

Kindly let me know do we need to purchase a licence for it.
