Ok how can we kickstart this thing....

My 5505 is messed up. I went to rommon and did a erase all to kill all the possible file corruptions. Then im trying to boot from tftp now so I can get an image back on the flash....but...it looks like it hangs....

Hi,

Have you tried a different IOS on the ASA device ? Something like , ASA 8.2.5 or 8.4.6 ?

It would be a good test for this issue as i think the ASA device is hanging at the time when it is trying to boot up the ASA IOS image.

I think you should try to format the disk0:-

format disk0: and see if this works ? If it doesn't , I would say open a TAC case and request a replacement if this is covered under a contract ?

That was it. I did try that on the other flash memory. Might have been bad flash. What format does it need to be formatted with if I was to put in my computer card reader and try to use it again? FAT16, FAT32?
