    <description>&lt;P&gt;I think the startup config may be in hidden NVRAM.&amp;nbsp; Try logging into the firewall and doing&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; copy startup-config export.txt&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;first, and &lt;EM&gt;then &lt;/EM&gt;use the Putty pscp.exe client on export.txt.&amp;nbsp; You'll have to explicitly specify the destination file name, in my experience, e.g.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; pscp.exe -scp -v admin@XXXX:/export.txt C:\temp\export.txt&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-- Jim Leinweber, WI State Lab of Hygiene&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Cisco ASA 5520 - how to download startup-config with putty's pscp</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Good day,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am curious where a startup-config is being stored.I try securely download startup-config to windows C:\Temp file, but FW is disconnecting pscp request.&lt;BR /&gt;Our Cisco ASA has single mode context.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I try to download any file located in disk0:/ I am able to.&lt;BR /&gt;C:\Program Files\PuTTY&amp;gt;pscp.exe -scp -v admin@XXXX:/asa.bin C:\Temp\&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But when I try startup-config, or startup.cfg:&lt;BR /&gt;C:\Program Files\PuTTY&amp;gt;pscp.exe -scp -v admin@XXXX:/startup-config C:\Temp\&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using username "admin".&lt;BR /&gt;admin@XXXXX's password:&lt;BR /&gt;Sent password&lt;BR /&gt;Access granted&lt;BR /&gt;Opened channel for session&lt;BR /&gt;Started a shell/command&lt;BR /&gt;Using SCP1&lt;BR /&gt;Connected to XXXXX&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Server sent command exit status 0&lt;BR /&gt;Disconnected: All channels closed&lt;BR /&gt;Lost connection&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;C:\Program Files\PuTTY&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please advice how can I download startup-config with pscp.&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you&lt;BR /&gt;Please contact me on jozef.skulavik@gmail.com&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Jozef&lt;/P&gt;</description>
