hi all,

i have an 2nd hand PIX 5151E with an unlimited license, but im looking for an way to backup/export this license because im wanting to upgrade the IOS on the firewall.

i do have an printed summary of the boot-up with an 'code' and activationkey. is this what i need to keep safe?

or am i overlokking something?

im quite new on PIX hardware, thats why ive bought the 515E.

The license is kept when you upgrade the PIX. So just upload the new image, define it as the boot-image (or delete the old image(s)) and reboot.

okay, i will try this in an hour or so, and will let you know if it works

ive tryied to upgrade the image, but when i use monitor mode to send the software trough tftp it works, but when it reboots the 'uploaded' images just

disappears.

and ive tried serveral times
