I was once told that the speed had to be set to 100Mbs on the Failover link when using LAN based failover on a Gig switchport.

Hi

I am not aware of any such restriction and the recommendation from Cisco is to use an interface that is running at the same speed as your data interfaces for failover. Are you proposing to use stateful failover ?

HTH

Jon
