when I attempt to use the ADSM launcher from connecting to the outside interface of the ADSM my connection fails. I have configured the ASA to allow http connections from my IP address, are there any other steps I need to complete

I believe you can only SSH to an outside interface on a PIX/ASA. It does not matter what you have configured as far as TELNET or HTTP for access to an outside interface.

hi

(for the post of tech011@charming.com )

you can access the asa from an outside interface even with telnet but the requirement here traffic must be IPsec protected.

make sure that you configured

http server enable

http your-ip-address 255.255.255.255 outside

and make sure you are using the correct ip address in the asa that configured to allow http access, or just use the hostname of the asa when your trying to access it

HTH
