topic Defence Center Configuration backup/export via CLI in Network Security

Hello,

I have a situation, where I have a defense center version 5.2 (currently end of support), and the GUI is not opening due to some issue/database corruption.

I opened a case with cisco and since 5.2 is EoS, they cannot do anything.

I tried to repair the database but it is failing.

What is needed is to copy/export the configuration file from the device (unix level), in order to upgrade the DC and then then upload the configuration back into the upgraded appliance.

Kindly assist me to figure out how to export the configuration (I don't care about the logs or events) using CLI and Not GUI.

I searched the web and there is no such documentation to perform the above step in CLI.

Looking forward from hearing from you.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

There's no supported

There's no supported procedure or documentation (outside of Sourcefire / Cisco internal documents) on how to do this.

If you have a current support contract, the TAC should be able to support your problem. Even though the 5.2 software is end of sales I could not find any document saying that it is end of support.

You might request that your case be escalated or request your Cisco Account Manager assist if the TAC is not responsive.
