I'm creating this discussion because I have not access to a more specific information about the operation and technical data besides the cco user over the AMP8050.

I need to know for example if this equipment is able to: "The device must be able to detect anomalous traffic or vulnerabilities in the following Instant Messenger and P2P applications: Torrent, P2P, AOL Instant Messenger; MSN Messenger; Yahoo Messenger; ICQ; Gnutella; Kazaa; eDonkey; BitTorrent; Soulseek."

It sounds as if you're responding to a request for proposal. I'd recommend you engage a local Cisco partner or Cisco account manager to get a better reply.

In general the answers are "yes" and "they usually don't measure IPS using that metric".
