ASDM packet capture

Hi All

I am having an issue with the packet captured on the ASA, I am trying to download the PCAP file from the ASDM.

I am trying the following format:

https://security appliance-ip-address/admin/capture/capture_name[/pcap]

This was working but seemed to have stoped for some reason.

Make sure you're sourcing from an address that has http access to the device (it worked before, just confirm again). Could also be that the file is too big (unlikely, but possible).

Lastly, you may want to just TFTP the config by using the following command

copy capture: tftp:

Then configure the following

Source capture name []?

Address or name of remote host []?

Destination filename []?

Or you could transfer the file over https using ASDM's file management menu. Navigate to the file, select "View" (then possibly "save as" from your browser).

I find it easier to do the captures in ASDM which can then be setup to automatically open them in Wireshark.

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
