Transparent Firewall Mode

Dear All,

I understand that a transparent mode works if the 2 interfaces are in the same subnet.

I'd like to know if a firewall can be introduced in a transparent mode if the 2 interfaces are in different networks. with Class C and Class B

But both the networks can communicate with each other.

The neccessary routing and Switching is done.

Hello,

In transparent mode you can configure as many interfaces as you want, provide them security levels, names, ACL applied to them but you cannot have them on different networks.

In fact you will assing only one IP address to the ASA ,
