topic ASA url filtering with WSA? in Network Security

Hello,

We will be deploying an ASA at a remote site and need internet access to leave from that site. We have a WSA at our HQ and were wondering if the newer versions of code allow integration between the WSA and ASA using URL filtering.

Thank you!

Hello,

The ASA will not integrate directly with the WSA using its URL filtering config. However, it will integrate with the WSA using WCCP. More details can be found here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/access_wccp.html

Hope that helps.

-Mike

Thanks for the response Mike! That's what I was afraid of.

We use WCCP here, but I didn't want to forward all the traffic across the WAN.

Thanks!
