ASA 5505 Bottleneck

Hello All,

I have a Comcast Business as my internet service at home. I am getting 50 megs downloads behind my Comcast modem however behind the firewall I am getting 10 to 12 megs. All my firewall ports are hardset to Speed 100 and Duplex full. I plugged my laptop directly into the firewall and still the firewall is a bottleneck of 10 to 12 megs. Have you ever seen the ASA software version because of a bug a cause this issue? Maybe I need to change the code of software I am running.

Helo Iketurner,

Can you post your running configuration and the show interface ( Interface with the issues ) by the way when you plugged your laptop directly into the firewall did you connect it to a different interface or did you place it into the same interface?

Julio,

You are not going to believe this but the outside interface was causing the problem. I changed the Speed 100 to Auto and now I am getting the speed I should get and more. Makes no sense to me but I guess whatever works right. Thanks.
