I would like to replace my 2 port ethernet module with a 4 port module. Is this just a straight forward hardware install? How do you activate the new ports? We have a ur license. Thank You.

Just power-off the box, remove the old card and slot in the new quad card.

After you power-on the box, you need to activate/key-in the activation key @ license, and reboot the box. You should be able to see the new 4-ports. Active/configure it like your other/previous ethernet ports.

pixfirewall(config)#activation-key <XXXXXXXX xxxxxxxx="" xxxxxxxx="" xxxxxxxx=""> </XXXXXXXX>

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_installation_guide_chapter09186a00800f6104_4container_ccmigration_09186a00801e8931.html#1030646

Make sure you backup your config as well.

Rgds,

AK
