topic Issues accessing ASA from outside the network via a bridged router in Network Security

Hey,

So I am setting up an ASA at home, the provider has allowed bridging on the ISP router so I can connect back from the ASA.

ASA: 5506

Inside the network I can access the ASA via ASDM/SSH.

From outside I cant. HTTP and SSH has been allowed from the outside interface for any IP. Debugs don't show anything. I think something is blocking on the ISP router, but do you have any suggestions.

Any help will be appreciated

As long as you have configured access to the ASA there must be som port forwarding issue or traffic to the public IP is being blocked at the ISP.

http 0 0 outside

ssh 0 0 outside

Optionally you can set up an AnyConnect VPN and manage the ASA through the VPN. If the VPN also doesnt establish then there definately is something at the ISP side that is causing the issue.

Thank you. I found it was my NAT causing this issue. Resolved it by changing the NAT and it worked straight away.
