topic PIX 501 will not connect to internet in Network Security

Comcast is my ISP, so I'm using the modem that they provided. Here is my device layout:

Cable Modem > PIX 501 > Dell 2016 Switch > 4 Desktop Computers

The Pix 501 is new out of the box with the factory default settings. I have followed the setup procedure in the manual that came with the Pix. The inside interface is assigned an ip address, but the outside interface just says "DHCP (Configured)" and will not let me get to the outside world (internet). Both interfaces show to be "up". Is there some configuration in the pix that I am missing that will not enable me to access the internet. Please help.

can you post your config? There could be several things but hard to tell without a config attached to see where you are to this point.

Thanks

Steve
