I am unable to logon through PDM (pix 501)cos i have forgotten the password and the pwd recovery for pix doesn't work for the PDM. If i decide to erase my pix or set it to factory configuration, will that reset the PDM password. How do i erase everything(configuration) i have on my pix (501), like erase startup-config or /all in a router, so i could start afresh.

Thanks

Daniel.

Hi

Normaly if you do the PWD recovery for the pix you enable password and passwd are reseted to default password so you can access you pix either using console, telnet, ssh or PDM

I want to be sure if you use no user and just the enable password to login using pdm or you use a username and password

if you use a username and password please check your config file and try to modify the username password that you use for login or delete it and add a new username

Regards
