      <title>ASA/IPS License Problem</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Dear Support,&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;I have a problem in a license of ASA/IPS&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;I tried to get the license from cisco site and I entered the PAK of ASA5512-IPS-SSP and serial number of the ASA, but I got this error &lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;"&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #800000;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Not allowed downgrade/update Sku(s) 'ASA5512-IPS-SSP' for 'ASA5512-MB' : Device contains following licenses 'ASA5512-IPS-SSP,ASA5500-ENCR-K9'&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #800000;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Serial Number =&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #800000;"&gt;We're sorry, but we cannot process your request.&lt;/SPAN&gt;"&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;So I figured out that the license is already installed on the IPS, but once I login to the IPS using “&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;session IPS&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;” command from ASA, I get this notification about the license "&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;There is no license key installed on this IPS platform&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;", Also from IPS GUI, I get license error message.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;So I don't know what is the problem exactly and how to download the license from cisco site.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
