Hi I have a set of pix 515E in a active standy scenario, from the past few days i am observing that both the pix are rebooting either the secondary gets reboot or the primary it is alos observed that both have got rebooted simultaneoulsy as well.the boothing interval is seen between 10-12 hrs.

attached is the syslogs messages and sh tech from both devices.

check for power issue but other systems connected on the same rack are not having any issue related to power

tried to get to the root cause but am not able to find the exact reason.

PIX-1-103001: (Primary) No response from other firewall (reason code = 1).
%PIX-5-199009: Reloaded at 17:42:50 IST Sun Aug 21 2011 by failover controller. Reload reason: failover reset

%PIX-1-102001: (Primary) Power failure/System reload other side.

Hi Vinod,

I checked the configuration and could not see any crashinfo on it, could you check it by " show crashinfo ". I would suggest you to kindly open a TAC case immediately to get it analysed and further investigated.

Hi Vinod,

I tried researching on the issue, but could not agther anything in specific, I would suggest you to open a TAC case for it, so that detailed investigation can be carried out. If that is not ppossible, your best bet woudl be to upgarde the PIX's to the latest version that your memory allows.
