how to redirect HTTP traffic as HTTPS

Dear Experts!!!!

I configured ASA5510-CSC-10 firewall. I blocked all sites except some banking sites which under works HTTPS.

But here the problem is my clent needs to type URL with HTTPS only. If he typed HTTP then the site is going to block.

So i want redirect all my HTTP traffic to HTTPS.

I configured http redirect inside https, but its not working.

ASA IOS version is 8.4.2

CSC IOS version is 6.6.1125

Please advice me to solve this issue.

You can't redirect HTTP traffic to HTTPS and get the CSC module to inspect the traffic as the inspection will happen first before PAT.

The command: "http redirect inside https" is only for management of the ASA itself, not for pass through traffic.

That command when you try to manage the ASA using HTTP, it will automatically redirect you to manage the ASA with HTTPS.
