Hello there,

I intend to deploy ASA 5585 in a multi context environment. There is a business requirement that the firewall admin are required to manage it via IPsec over the internet.Reading through 8.4 guide and cisco presentations it seems IPSec feature cannot be enabled when the ASA is a deployed in a multi-context manner.Could some one confirm whether this is the case and as to whether there is a workaround? I'm a newbie with ASAs and FW so any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Janesh

yes, you are right.

IPSec or any VPN is not supported in multi context mode, and unfortunately there is no workaround.
