Hi

I'm using ASDM 6.2 with a FWSM on a 6500.

At the moment everytime I want to make a change to firewall rules I click apply and the rules are applied Immediately. I have to make multiple changes during the working day which I don't like to do.

What I would like to do is make changes during the day but not apply them until out of hours (some sort of batch mode). Like I can do in my check point firewalls.

Regards

James

With FWSM/ASDM, once you hit on Apply, then the changes are applied straight away to the running configuration.

If you would like a similar experience to Check Point where you configure the change and apply/submit the changes later, then you would need to use CSM (Cisco Security Manager).

CSM is similar to CheckPoint Smart Center where it is a single management tool and it can manage multiple devices.

Here is more information on CSM for your reference:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6498/index.html
